GAP’s “Broken-in Skimmer”

As a regular customer of  GAP, looking for a nice present in the woman department at their store in Plaza Romania (there is another one in Baneasa also), very often i find myself surprised by the numerous and ever so various description of products, from pant(broken in skimmer), blouses(favorite), t-shirts, denim (curvy, sexy boot, long and Lean) and so many others.

This got me to the point where i said that so many people may not know about this specifics that i considered to start writing about them, this way you would be more informed and make a wiser choice of clothes, also i’ll try to put some prices in the purpose of being informed better.
“Broken In Skimmer” is the new “black” as they say and just like the name says Broken In means that the material is wrinkled because it is intended to be like this, is a question of as i say : intentionally disorganized. The second part of the name Skimmer since i didn’t know for sure what it means, initially made me think of of a shortcut, (or cut short) and it turned out i was right. Short explanation :”Broken In Skimmer” means intentionally wrinkled and too short.
I found out that this idea is being promoted by GAP, wishing for the ladies to show of their ankles.
Just like i remember seeing in the movie The Stepford Wives where the women were dressed retro, same thing is happening now :Retro is back, mama’s fashion is popular again!
As a picky person that i am i must say that the informed sales assistant that approached me while i was in the store was shockingly helpful, i say shockingly on purpose compared with other store i have been into and i was ignored completely, and when i asked what does “80′ cotton” on the inside of the shirt means, the answer was : “It’s Cotton”.
So my overall impression about the GAP store, merchandise and the staff so far is very good, if any changes may appear i will let you know for sure.
